Sinus Surgery
A surgical approach aimed at restoring ventilation in chronic sinus complaints that do not respond to medical treatment.
The sinuses are air-filled spaces that open into the nasal cavity. Narrowing of these openings can allow inflammation to settle and symptoms to recur.
Endoscopic sinus surgery aims to widen narrowed openings so the sinuses ventilate again. The decision follows an assessment of how medical treatment has worked.
